£7.5 Million Lowry Footbridge - Secured with CCTV

"The new £7.5 million Millenimum footbridge which links Salford docks to the new Lowry Millenimum Musemun is an impressive feat of modern design and Engineering.
The entire bridge lifts on steel ropes a height of 60 metres to allow shipping to pass. In the Brisge control room a sophisticated CCTV system comprising of pan tilt zoom cameras mounted on the bridge structure allow the operators to view the entire bridge from both sides of the river. Cabling for the CCTV system had to be run underneath the Bridge and via a chain cabling loop system to allow for when the bridge is raised and lowered. Centurion Security Systems were awarded the contract due to their knowledge and expertise acquired from working on many other similar Bridge contracts throughout the country.
