An update in relation to Covid-19

Customers depend on us for their Fire & Security services, so we would like to offer some reassurance during this difficult time.

We have all watched with concern as the incidence of COVID-19 steadily increases around the world. We want you to know of our absolute commitment and a responsibility to work in the best interests of our staff, our customers and our community during these extraordinary circumstances.

Please note that during this Covid19 crisis we have revised our Office hours which are now 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.

We would like to share with you the measures we are taking to ensure service continuity to you, particularly during any future working restrictions the Government may impose.

Business Continuity Plan
Centurion Fire & Security Ltd has a COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan to ensure we can maintain operations, service and support functions. This plan will be executed in the event of any office closures or social distancing policies. Our response team – made up of senior management – is currently meeting daily, and we are working hard to ensure you receive the best level of service we can provide while adhering to any Governmental emergency measures.

Our Operations
Should Schools close, or the Government ask people to work from home, more than 90% of our employees have the right mobile working and collaboration technology to enable them to do so. This is a tried and tested scenario at Centurion Fire & Security Ltd, as we often use it for out of hours service calls or in adverse weather conditions and you should therefore experience ‘business as usual’ in this respect.

Our main office will remain open to take calls, offer telephone support and ensure your property is effectively protected. Our Field Engineers can work remotely from our offices so support will continue as before. We have already put in place a policy to only service systems remotely during these extraordinary circumstances to maintain your security systems health, whilst protecting our staff and our customers.

Emergency call visits will be carried out under strict guidelines and our Engineers have been advised to follow customer procedures. If you have any specific measures in place at your sites, please make us aware when logging a service call.

Virus control
Your safety and the safety of our staff is our main priority. Across our organisation we are encouraging colleagues to minimise unnecessary travel and to conduct meetings remotely where possible.

In order to minimise physical contact we are instructing our Engineers to self sign their PDA service pads on your behalf, they will type in your name and sign with “C19” to indicate this was signed by them on your behalf but in your presence.

All colleagues are continually reminded of the precautions they should take, including practising good hand hygiene. No team member has recently returned from holiday however, we are encouraging self-isolation in line with government guidelines where necessary. When site visits are necessary, our employees are advised to follow customers’ procedures when arriving on-site and to wash their hands thoroughly before and after touching any equipment.

Next steps
We will continue to review our plans in line with government advice and remain committed to supporting you with the highest levels of service.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
