Augean needed a fire detection and monitoring system to protect its waste management facilities at its site in Kirkby.

The solution

We designed, installed and commissioned a wireless addressable multi-panel L1 fire alarm system, the highest category of fire protection under BS 5839-1:2017. The installation included:

  • Fire alarm system: a fully networked L1 system, with wireless links between the main and remote building panels.
  • Thermal CCTV cameras: across the external areas, combining perimeter security with early fire-risk detection.
  • Safety devices: external manual call points and sounder VADs for rapid, clear emergency alerts.
  • Central monitoring: both the fire detection and the CCTV can be managed on site or remotely.
