Case Study

24/7 CCTV visibility across a key Goodyear distribution centre

A scalable HD surveillance system designed around varied risk zones, protecting high-value assets while integrating with Goodyear's wider security infrastructure.

The challenge

The brief

Goodyear Tyres required a robust CCTV solution to improve security and protect high-value assets across one of its key UK distribution centres. The system needed to provide 24/7 visibility, support incident tracking and create scalable infrastructure for future operational growth.

The distribution centre's large operational footprint contained varied risk zones that required a mix of camera capabilities. Centurion also had to maintain uninterrupted operations during installation and ensure the completed solution would work with Goodyear's existing security infrastructure and wider corporate security framework.

How we work

Our approach

01

Survey the site's risk zones

Centurion completed a full site survey and risk assessment to understand the distribution centre's operational footprint, identify different risk areas and define the surveillance coverage each area required.

02

Specify all-hours camera coverage

HD CCTV cameras with infrared and low-light capability were selected to maintain useful visibility through changing light conditions and support the site's requirement for 24/7 surveillance.

03

Focus on critical locations

Camera positions were planned around key entrances, loading bays, storage areas and perimeter fencing, concentrating coverage on the operational and security risks identified during the survey.

04

Integrate and enable remote monitoring

The new CCTV system was integrated with Goodyear's existing security infrastructure and configured to give authorised teams remote monitoring access alongside on-site visibility.

05

Maintain a scalable platform

Ongoing service and maintenance support helps protect system performance, while the integrated design retains capacity for future upgrades as the site's operational requirements develop.
